The sixth DesignEd Asia Conference is jointly organised by School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Hong Kong Design Institute, and co-organised by Hong Kong Design Centre. It is a key programme in Business of Design Week (BODW), the leading Asian premier international design and innovation event organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre.
The DesignEd Asia Conference provides a practical platform to bring international design educators and professionals together to share views, knowledge and experiences over a two-day programme featuring talks, panel discussions, and paper presentations.
This year, we will explore how design education has the chance to preserve world cultures, and the skills of those cultures, through digital, fashion, graphic, interior and product design. Topics to be covered are as follows:
|
|
- Successful cultural content integration into the curriculum
- Regional cultural design projects
- Sustainability and cultural designs
- Entrepreneurial local cultural designs
- Designing for other cultures
