After graduating from the Tama Art University with a degree in textile design, Dai Fujiwara joined the Miyake Design Studio in 1994, as a member of the ISSEY MIYAKE Paris Collection staff.

Since 1998, he has worked with Issey Miyake on the A-POC (A Piece of Cloth) project. In 2000, A-POC was conferred with a Good Design Grand Prize. Individually, Fujiwara received a Mainichi Design Award in 2003 for "A-POC design." Since October 2006, he has been appointed Creative Director of ISSEY MIYAKE collections. In 2009, he established his own studio DAIFUJIWARA & Co.

By collaborating across various areas with his design point of view, Fujiwara's projects continue to progress.
