A Director of Strategy at ZIBA Design, Hideshi Hamaguchi is considered a leading mind in creative concept development, strategy building and decision management on both sides of the Pacific. By developing frameworks which bring balance between design intuition and strategic thinking, Hamaguchi is able to create innovative products and services.

At ZIBA Design, Hamaguchi is involved with nearly every project undertaken by the globally renowned consultancy. He uses visual models and frameworks during the brainstorming process to generate innovative concepts and strategies, out of which solutions towards business challenges are garnered in a creative and effective way.

Hamaguchi has led numerous award-winning projects that have earned recognition from Industrial Design Society of America's International Design Excellence Awards, including gold awards for FedEx, Polycom and M-System. In 1994, he created the concept of the Intranet and developed Japan's first corporate Intranet. Hamaguchi also led the core concept development for the first USB flash drive.

Hamaguchi has over 15 years of experience in decision management, strategy building, and concept development in various industries and businesses, spanning a broad range of technologies. Starting his business career with Panasonic in Japan, Hamaguchi later became Director of the New Business Planning Group at Panasonic Electric Works, Ltd. and Executive Vice President of Panasonic Electric Works Laboratory of America, Inc. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Kyoto University, Hamaguchi is also an experienced entrepreneur – he was cofounder and COO of a web application company in the USA.
