Born in 1968, graduated from Tongji University in 1990 and stayed on to be lecturer more than 18 years. He is the chairman and design director of VEP DESIGN and the founder of BANMOO and has kept focusing on space and furniture design. A common thread through these variegated experiences is his deep-rooted respect for traditional Chinese culture and the unique discourse he brings to the practice and expression of modern design.
His works won numerous awards and named as the “Original innovative power of Chinese design” by both Chinese and overseas media. He has been invited by Hermes and designed the window showcase of the flagship store in 2008 and took part in the exhibition of “Dutch Design Week 2008”. He received the “Young Talent of The Year” from ELLE DECO International Design Awards in the next year. He was the judge of the “iF design award china 2009”. Recently, he participated in the exhibition of “Milan Design Week 2010”.
